It works and it is free.
It works and it is free.
I really didnt like it. I tried to put a picture, and all it did was make it worse. Basically it is the same as photobooth. Then again it was free, Im sure the full version is a lot better.
its simple to use and its fun. if you play around with the basic settings, you can create some really interesting images without losing your originals. i like it!
this app.....Gorgeous, beautiful, wonderful, amazing, brilliant... images turn out great and editing them on this, then iphoto, even better.... this app is well worth it
Fun program to play around with. My children enjoyed it. But not a very useful app for photography lovers.
I like the effects but cant seem to move the image out and have it create a new image file. Frustrating. Oh yeah, and you cant link to their sites - they dont exist - so no support. Seems odd.
Just drag the image out onto your desk, dude. As simple as that.
Excellent and quick programme for simple but well created effects. Drag the image onto the preview area, apply the effect and drag the new image out! How much more simple can it get!
I mostly use lightroom, and I always look for fun apps like this to play around with. This is definately a fun little app, the only thing i was frustarted with is the slowness it takes to render all the diferent samples. Over all i will definately use this for playing with with photos in the future.
I tried this lite version (free) of the application and in the end, I dont see it doing much more than Photo Booth which came with Snow Leopard. Though functional, it too often diplayed the pinwheel of death while trying to render the effect. Ill give it credit for not crashing but way too slow and not enough of a difference from Photo Booth. Two stars for "I dont like it."
This app looked for fun and interesting on the outside. However, when I downloaded it it kept force quiting whenever I tried to drag an image. I know that this is free so I did not lose any money on it, but I was really exciting about using it and that made me upset. I hope you have more luck than me!
No doubt you could do the same thing in a variety of higher end applications, but this is free and does what it does with focus and simplicity. it might be nice to have the capability to choose different output formats, but for free, I am definitely not complaining. Thanks for the developers for offering a truly useful (and genuine) free application.
This is SOOOO simple! it requirers NO experience and, the pic looks great! just drag and drop! its as easy as that.
its visually appealing when you download it and fun to work with. Its a time waster but an enjoyable one. i think it could be better but i really like it. i have yet to figure out how to get an image that changes to upload onto a site and CHANGE. its great though.
Its a memory hog, its effects and controls are great but it turns my usually fast computer into a barely moving brick...
When you purchase the more expensive edition and open it, it asks if you want to get the additional effects (a silly question) and has you select a place to place all these .qtz files (and no clue as to where they go). So far I still only have the original number of effects, and their web page is either a fake or extremely outdated, because theres no support there, and the email they left returns non-deleliverable, so Ill be calling apple soon to figure this out or get a refund!
Its simple to use. Drag an image in, mess with it, and pull it out to the desktop. I like the effects. Ive used the bulge to simulate a "Mega-mind" portrait for facebook. Ive used many of the others(ASCII Art, City Lights, Comic Book) to create images for cards, Ive used the Color Controls to create different renderings of the same photo, sliced them and put them back together for a Warhol effect.... and I -really- like the Kaliedescope effect. 2 small drawbacks (remember the price before you consider these to be "negative"): You cant combine effects unless you pull the image out and put it back in again .... and it would be awesome if Kaliedescope was somehow useable as a screen saver. The rendering is fascinating to watch.
This Lite version was supposed to be free. I was charged the full price. Impossible to get Apple to issue a refund. The email address on the companys website is incorrect and my email bounced back as "undeliverable". Whether or not the app itself is any good is irrelevant at this point. Not a good way to do business.
I originially had version 2.0.4 running on Leopard and I loved it. It quit working with Lion and I assumed this newer version would fix that. WRONG! It was a good product but must not be ready for Lion.
Downloaded the free version. Double clicking opens a window and I follow the screen instructions to drag in an image from the desktop. Nothing happens. There are supposed to be options to select from, but that pane is blank. Clicking on any of the buttons produces nothing. Maybe theyll do an update for this app - it looks like it would be really fun to use.
